Today, we are doing a quick review on the Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds. Currently, you can find these on Amazon for $250, which puts them on the higher side when it comes to price. Hopefully, by the end of this review, I will help you determine if these are worth that hefty price tag.

What’s in the Box and Charging Case
Once you get them out of the box, it reveals the charging case. It is a pretty good-sized charging case. To give you some perspective, it sits comfortably in the palm of your hand, though it is not going to fit inside your pocket all too comfortably.
On a full charge, these earbuds offer 9 hours of playtime, so you really should not have to lug the charging case around with you everywhere you go. With the charging case included, you will get a total of 24 hours of playback.
These also offer Fast Fuel technology, so if you are in a pinch and only have a little bit of time to charge them up, just 5 minutes will give you approximately 90 minutes of playtime.
Controls and Button Layout
Taking one earbud out for a closer look, the B logo on the side is your play and pause button. It also works for accepting or declining phone calls. If you hit the button twice, it will advance to the next song, and hitting it three times takes you back to the previous song.
On the top side of each earbud, there is a small button that controls your volume, with up increasing the volume and down decreasing it.
What makes this even better is that you have the exact same controls on each earbud. So it does not matter which side you prefer to use because the play, pause, and all other controls are mirrored on both sides.
Fit and Comfort for Athletes
If you are a person whose ears simply were not made for wireless earbuds and you are constantly having to readjust them and worry about them falling out, these are a perfect option.
The fit is phenomenal. The over-ear hook design ensures that once you get these on and adjust them to a comfortable position, they are not going anywhere.
You could do almost anything in these earbuds. I personally feel like I could do a backflip and they would not even budge. When I first tried them on, I was very pleased with the secure and snug fit.
Whether you want to play basketball, run up and down the court, or do any type of physical activity, the Powerbeats Pro can handle it all without any issues.
These are also water and sweat resistant, so if you are the type of person who sweats a lot during workouts, you do not have to worry about damaging these earbuds at all.

Sound Quality
Now let’s move on to the important stuff, the sound quality. In my opinion, the sound quality on the Powerbeats Pro is pretty impressive. I will place them just a notch below the Sony WF-1000XM3 earbuds, which are probably the best-sounding wireless earbuds I have ever tested. Being slightly below those is still a very strong result.
These earbuds offer plenty of volume, which is great for those of us who go to the gym and like to hear our favorite music as loud as possible to push through a workout.
Overall, I would describe the sound quality as balanced. There is definitely plenty of bass, and the mids and highs are very rich and present. You really cannot point out any obvious flaws when it comes to the sound quality.
Call Quality
Moving on to call quality, the Powerbeats Pro also performed very impressively in this area. I have tested a lot of earbuds over time, and with many of them, call quality can be hit or miss.
I used to own a pair of first-generation AirPods, and people would always complain that they could not understand what I was saying during phone calls.
With the Powerbeats Pro, I had no issues with call quality whatsoever. I never had to repeat myself, and I had no trouble hearing the other person at any point. This is a big win for anyone who also uses their earbuds for regular phone calls throughout the day.
Is the Powerbeats Pro Worth $250?
Now for the big question. Do I think these are worth the $250 price tag? My answer is yes, but only for the right buyer.
These earbuds are built for those who are serious about going to the gym, who work out regularly, and who are looking for a reliable pair of wireless earbuds they can count on.
If that describes you, then spending $250 is absolutely justified. You are getting earbuds that stay in your ears, deliver great sound quality, offer excellent call quality, and are water and sweat resistant. You can knock out your workouts without worrying about anything related to your earbuds.
However, if you are a casual listener who is not really into working out or being highly active, I would not recommend paying $250 for these. There are more affordable options that would suit your needs. But if you are that dedicated gym-goer or active athlete, I would definitely consider investing in a pair of Powerbeats Pro.
