I’ve got two Bluetooth portable wireless speakers here to compare today both of which I personally purchased and have been using for a while. I wanted to share my honest thoughts on how they stack up against each other.
First up, we’ve got the Anker Soundcore 2 (Upgraded Version) a well-known name in the audio world. And then, the Ortizon X8 Pro a brand I wasn’t familiar with before, but one that’s actually impressed me quite a bit.
Where They’re Similar
Both speakers:
- Support Bluetooth 5.0
- Have built-in mics for hands-free calls
- Offer TWS pairing (True Wireless Stereo), meaning you can link two speakers for stereo sound
- Carry an IPX7 waterproof rating, so they can be safely submerged in up to 3 feet of water
- And both feel solid and premium in hand — no complaints about build quality at all.
Where the Ortizan X8 Pro Pulls Ahead
Here’s where the Ortizan takes the lead:
- Battery Life: Up to 30 hours per charge vs 12 hours on the Anker. That’s thanks to its larger 6350 mAh battery.
- RGB Lighting: Adds a fun touch for parties, something the Anker doesn’t offer.
- Carrying Loop: Handy if you’re on the move or want to clip it to a bag.
- EQ Presets Button: Lets you toggle between 3 different sound profiles directly on the speaker — no app required.
- More Power: Delivers 40W output, compared to Anker’s 20W, so it’s louder and packs more punch.

Where the Anker Has the Edge
That said, the Anker Soundcore still has a few tricks up its sleeve:

Final Verdict
Overall, while I like both speakers, I find myself preferring the Ortizan X8 Pro. It lasts longer, sounds a bit stronger, and offers more features for the price especially the EQ presets and lighting.
That said, the Anker Soundcore’s power bank function and better battery indicator still make it a great option for travel and all-day use.
